Kasus ini bermula dari tudingan yang menyebutkan bahwa ijazah yang dimiliki oleh Jokowi adalah palsu.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Kombes Pol. Iman Imanuddin, Direktur Reserse Kriminal Umum (Dirreskrimum) Polda Metro Jaya, menjelaskan bahwa proses restorative justice ini sedang berjalan, dan pihaknya akan tetap bersikap netral dalam menangani perkara tersebut.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>&#8220;Restorative justice merupakan hak para pihak, baik pelapor maupun terlapor. Prosesnya sedang berjalan, dan kami tegaskan, penyidik akan tetap berada pada posisi netral dalam kasus ini,&#8221; kata Kombes Iman di Jakarta, Kamis (15\/1\/2026).<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Eggi Sudjana dan Damai Hari Lubis sebelumnya telah bertemu dengan Presiden Jokowi di kediamannya di Solo pada 8 Januari 2026, di mana keduanya mengajukan permohonan damai atas kasus yang menjerat mereka. Keduanya ditetapkan sebagai tersangka dalam kasus pencemaran nama baik dan ujaran kebencian terkait tuduhan ijazah palsu Jokowi.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Permohonan restorative justice ini merupakan bagian dari upaya penyelesaian hukum di luar pengadilan, dengan tujuan untuk mencapai kesepakatan antara pihak-pihak yang terlibat. Dalam hal ini, setelah pertemuan dengan Presiden Jokowi, keduanya berharap dapat menyelesaikan masalah ini secara damai.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Polda Metro Jaya pun memproses permohonan tersebut dengan tetap mengikuti prosedur hukum yang berlaku, serta memastikan bahwa semua pihak mendapat perlakuan yang adil dan sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip keadilan restoratif.
